There Is Still Time To Reserve A Veemo
On May 1st, 2022 we increased the price of the Veemo SE to an MSRP of $9,995 USD. As we move toward low volume manufacturing, this was needed to account for our change of motor spec to the Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit, increased costs of components, freight and labor. These supply chain issues are affecting the entire cycling industry, not just Veemo, and our price increase was a necessary step toward building a better bike with an industry-best service model that will keep riders on the roads, riding, and out of the repair shop. Please note that all orders with reservations placed before May 1, 2022 will be honoured at the special introductory price of $4,999 USD ($6,395 CAD). All new orders after May 1 will be subject to the new pricing.
Engineering Updates
We are continuing to work toward our initial production run and have the following engineering updates to share: Most importantly - all Veemo’s will come equipped with Bosch motors and battery systems. This brings Veemo into the Bosch global help centre platform which will be integrated with Veemo’s customer service desk to assure world class customer and warranty support.
Bosch Performance Line CX Drive Unit
Through our endurance testing cycles we decided to move forward with the Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit. We found that the 250W Bosch drive unit outperformed other motors we tested, such as the 500W Bafang mid-drive, in speed and hill climbing capabilities. It was also much quieter and applied power in a smoother manner, which made riding the Veemo much more enjoyable.
The Bosch Performance Line CX is the benchmark among drive units. It is compact, lightweight, extremely powerful and built from high-quality materials. The Bosch system detects the input from the user pedalling and instantly applies the e-assist. The Bosch system also offers a paired mobile application with many feature rich plug and play add ons that will add to the end user experience.

Enviolo Stepless Shifting Rear Hub
Through endurance testing we also found that the EnvioloTM rear hub with stepless shifting technology, allowed us to effortlessly change gears in both, automatic and manual modes, under full load. With near silent operation the Enviolo system is low maintenance, long-lasting, and works seamlessly with the Veemo belt drive and Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit. The Enviolo hub also requires little to no maintenance and has a long service life for an extended product lifetime. The hub also offers a paired mobile application to allow users to change between full automatic and manual shifting.

What's Next?
We are continuing to refine the Veemo SE to make sure it is rugged, long lasting - with a superb service model, and scalable design. For instance, our enclosures are relatively inexpensive, and can be easily replaced if ever damaged. When possible we have used standard bike components which means components can be swapped out for rider customization, or wear and tear. We realize that these changes may be different from the version of the Veemo SE that was advertised at the time of your reservation, specifically the choices of motors. For EU and Canadian users, the Bosch motor will be better performing than the 250 and 500 Watt motors originally slated. For US customers, we think the torque is adequate for most applications and theBosch motor will increase range and be much quieter than the 750W Bafang mid motor originally specified.
These changes were made to ensure a high level of rideability, long service life, minimal noise and ease of use. We wish to remind all persons who have an active reservation that they may, at any time and for any reason, request and receive a full refund on their deposit. We are outlining these technical details and changes to the Veemo SE to further clarify the improved go-to-market Veemo SE.
Delivery Window Updates
For all customers who have an active Veemo SE reservation we are currently forecasting a delivery window of Fall 2022. Veemo reservations that occur after May 1st, 2022 are currently slated for delivery in early Summer 2023.
